Intelligent HRMS
Written by: Sandip on 18th February 2012

When we thought that it's time to have an HR management system for our own needs, we obviously search for a ready to deploy solution, we are not a big team so a complex and costly system won't suit us. In fact there are some really good open source or free HRM systems available on the Internet.

But, sadly none of them met our requirements, we needed a simple and elegant system that fulfills our key requirements of tracking attendance, timesheets, leaves, employee records and a flexible and simple payrolls module.

Being a software development company we have luxury to build what we needed, so we did exactly that. We made it, already using it for quite some time and results are encouraging, so we thought it would be unwise to just keep it to ourselves.

We going to launch a Human Resource Management System in April 2012.

Some of the key modules of the system would be:

- A smart attendance system (without any external hardware).

- Real time Employee timesheet management.

- Employee leave management.

- Employee dashboard.

- Payroll

We are really excited for this and hoping to launch this on time. Stay tuned.

Silverlight Dilemma
Written by: Sandip on 15th January 2012

There is a certain dilemma prevailing around Microsoft Silverlight technology. There is no doubt that it is a great technology but pushing this technology to clients and users would be a risky move.

There are more than enough signs from Microsoft that they are more and more focusing on HTML5 as a platform of future for web technologies.

Check these artilces to see the writing on the wall.

Microsoft Has Seen The Light. And It's Not Silverlight.

Windows SkyDrive Says Sayonara To Silverlight, Embraces HTML5

Even on the Preview release of Windows 8, Microsoft has more talked about HTML5 and hinted that it would be the technology of the future and it would be most certainly supported on the upcoming Windows platforms.

And, there is a also clear advantage in investing time and efforts in HTML5 because it is the only technology which is going to be supported by almost all the platforms including Apple iOS.
